This article, combined with several of its photographic Outtakes and some new proposed Recommendations (slide #36), was presented to the Cottage Grove Urban Forestry Committee on December 10, 2012. The purpose of the talk was to introduce and discuss problem trees in the Cottage Grove community, and determine how to best manage them for reasons of personal safety, property damage, maintenance costs, aesthetics, and other cultural values. The presentation is available as both PowerPoint [PPT] and Portable Document Format [PDF] files.
